Castles

Every castle was built with functionality in mind. They were defensive structures, but held within them other purposes. It housed the seat of government, which the feudal system were the nobles. Even today they maintain a defensive function, but most are for for a different purpose.

Our castle, like in the days of old, maintains its defensive nature as well as its other purposes. Don't let our home deceive you, we know a bit about the modern ways.

Function and name

Everything has a name and function. What we call it, is its nomenclature.

Here we will try to give you information about what things are called. click the appropriate links for the nomenclature that interests you: castle nomenclature, knight and horse armor nomenclature, craftsmen/ trade nomenclature

Where do we live?

Our real castle is in North Dakota. The one we have here is still only on paper and in 3-D computer renditions as it remains in the design phase.

Every castle has to have a story and ours has a fictional story that is still being written. The castle story is just an entertainment feature we hope you will enjoy as it develops.

This castle is set high in the mouth of an extinct volcano.

Our Government

Although a lot of the story has a lot of similarities to that of medieval earth, we do not use the feudal system of that time period. We do have nobility, knights, lord's and a royal family, but, here, the monarchy is the head of our semi-democratic society.

There is no separation of church and state since a religious component exists within the government. That religious component verifies that any laws or rulings made, do conflict with the laws of the Creator. This authority overrides the other three component of our government anytime conflict occurs. The supreme authority is the Word of the Creator, which is not subject to interpretation or context of time.

Castle Life

Although we live in a castle and still hold to "the old ways." There are may differences between the ancient ways and our life now.  More coming.
